Jasmine Chan

Known as one of the rising clarinetists in the young generation, Chan Hin Man Jasmine is an active clarinetist in solo, chamber and orchestral music, with the recent award of First Prize in Winds Section in 22nd Osaka International Music Competition Hong Kong/ Taiwan Round in 2021. Currently, she is studying the Bachelor of Music (Clarinet Performance) at the University of Toronto with Miles Jaques, the clarinetist and solo bass clarinetist at the Toronto Symphony Orchestra. She is the principal clarinetist in the Hong Kong Festival Orchestra and clarinetist in the University of Toronto Wind Ensemble. As the chairlady of Heep Yunn Orchestra in 2016, she led HYO and Heep Yunn ensemble in the 8th International Youth Music Festival I, Bratislava, resulting in Gold Medals in both categories. She has been teaching clarinet for several years with excellent results achieved in students’ examinations. She enjoys expressing herself through music while sharing her music with the audience.
